Install the app, connect your controller, and pick where your input goes.
The first launch needs an internet connection to finish setup. On an NVIDIA RTX card, Elixir offers the optional NVIDIA acceleration pack. It downloads inside the app and takes about 4 GB.
The first time the pack runs, it builds an optimised engine for your GPU in the background. A notification tells you when it's done; you can keep using the app meanwhile.
Plug your controller into the PC over USB or pair it over Bluetooth. Elixir picks it up automatically and shows it in the title bar.
| Controller | Connection | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| DualSense | USB, Bluetooth | Gyro, touchpad and haptics pass through |
| DualShock 4 | USB, Bluetooth | Gyro and touchpad pass through |
| Xbox Series / One | USB, wireless | Rumble passes through |
| Keyboard & mouse | Any | See Keyboard & mouse below |
Choose where your input goes from the output setting. You can switch while the app is running.
Remote Play streams your PlayStation or Xbox to the PC, and Elixir sends your input back over the network.
Delay depends on your network. A wired connection to the console works best.
A profile holds your button map, stick curves, deadzones and trigger settings. Create as many as you like, mark favourites with the star, and switch between them with a key bind.
Shape each stick's response by dragging a bezier curve or placing points. Changes apply live, so you can tune while you play.
Elixir turns keyboard and mouse input into controller input for the console. Mouse movement drives the right stick; every key can be bound to any button. Keep separate keyboard & mouse profiles for each game.
Pick a theme under Config. The look on this site is the dark theme: flat, achromatic, one corner radius.
Try another USB port or cable, and close other apps that read the controller, such as Steam Input.
Open System settings to turn off all notifications, or only the kinds you don't want.
Ask on Discord. Include your Windows version, controller, and output.
